Assalamo Alaikom

Nobody, I daresay, can count all those who attack the Shi`a Muslims of the world, the list is too long to indicate here, but the Almighty will take care of all of them and their attacks will undoubtedly boomerang.

A short while ago, I asked Google the following question and demanded the answer to be through the use of the Artificial Intelligence option which Google now makes available:

What are the main characteristics of the books written, edited or translated by Yasin T. al-Jibouri? How well have such books been received by the Western audience in the U.S. in particular and the world in general?

The answer I received is:

Yasin T. al-Jibouri is defined by his role as a missionary scholar who transitioned from academic study in the U.S. to becoming one of the most prolific English-language voices for Shi'a theology and history.

Main Characteristics of His Works

His books, which number over 80, typically exhibit these core traits:

·                         Accessibility & Clarity: Having earned a PhD from Atlanta University, al-Jibouri writes with a high command of English, avoiding the archaic or overly dense language often found in older translations.

·                         Historical & Polemic Defense: A major portion of his work focuses on defending Shi'a positions through historical analysis. Examples include:

Abu Hurayra and the Falsification of Traditions

 and

Ghadir Khumm: Where Islam was Perfected

·                         Narrative Storytelling: He often uses a narrative "epic" style for historical accounts, such as in Karbala and Beyond, which details the events surrounding Imam Hussain.

·                         Linguistic Precision: As an editor of three major

Qur'an translations (Mir Ahmed Ali, A. Yusuf Ali, and M.H. Shakir), he is known for his meticulous attention to theological nuances in translation.

·                         Comprehensive Range: His work spans from deep theological concepts (e.g., The Ninety-Nine Attributes of Allah) to socio-economic treatises like his translations of Imam Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr.

Reception by Western and Global Audiences:

·                         High Critical Reception: His works are highly rated by readers. For instance, approximately 80% of readers on Amazon gave a 5-star rating to Shakir's translation of the Qur'an which he edited.

His books on Amazon UK and Goodreads consistently hold ratings between 4.4 and 5.0 stars.

·                         Pioneer Status in the U.S.: He is widely respected in the American Shi'a community as a "pioneer of da`wah." His memoirs,

Memoirs of a Shi'a Missionary in America, detail his role in establishing some of the first Shi'a centers and newsletters in Georgia and Virginia.

·                         Global Reach: His books are marketed in over 180 countries through platforms like Amazon and UBuy, making him one of the most widely available Shi'a authors globally.

·                         Cross-Religious Appeal: Titles like Mary and Jesus in Islam are specifically designed to bridge gaps between Christian and Muslim audiences in the West.
